A woman recording an ICE agent tells him "Shame on you."

The agent responds, "Have you all not learned from the past couple of days?"

"Learned what?" she asks

Then he knocks her phone out of her hand

Listened to new Morrissey single out of morbid curiosity - sounds like a bad Brosnan-era Bond theme 25 years too late

Watching the David Bowie: The Final Act documentary that was on Channel 4 last night which, despite its title, spends 20 minutes giving us a perfunctory overview of the bits of his career everyone already knows about. This is the only time I’ve ever genuinely wished for Tin Machine to come on again.

Saw ‘The Doors’ where an ‘over stimulated’ audience member attempted a loud dialogue with the characters. He was removed just as Jim Morrison was arrested onscreen. “They got me too Jim!” He cried “They got me too!”
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

I love Beatles music videos where Ringo has nothing to do because they couldn’t be bothered to drag a drum kit in so he’s wandering aimlessly/holding an umbrella/riding an exercise bike

My Bloody Valentine at Wembley tonight is the first show I’ve ever gone to where they were basically forcing earplugs into your hand on the door. Literally people standing at every entrance with a sack of foam earplugs giving them to you.

Saw Swans the last two nights - their gigs really break your perception of time. What felt like 10-15 minutes of noise during one of the songs was, looking at a bootleg recording this morning, closer to 5. Meanwhile a seemingly 8-minute rendition of A Little God In My Hands was actually double that

I don’t know if there’s a more perfect illustration of the utter fucking nonsense that creative pollution by AI will produce than this choice to illustrate the power of Paramount’s new “localization” and “customization” technology by face-swapping Brad Pitt into the lead role of GET OUT

Springsteen’s newly uncovered Electric Nebraska has some revelatory stuff (Atlantic City, Born in the USA, Downbound Train) mixed with some stuff like Johnny 99 that just sort of doesn’t really work. Can see why he went with the demos as much as I really enjoyed the band version of the album

Mama by Genesis is probably the furthest away from actual drums the 80s gated drum sound got. The snare is basically just a white noise burst. Incredible.

WH: "How do you feel seeing this object, a symbol of your dead wife? Though constructed of crude, worthless materials, it has been resurrected like some cheap miracle, mocking your grief and dead wife, now condemned to oblivion."
