So my daughter and some of her friends have been developing a version of Love Island set in the Star Wars universe. They're artists, so this has basically been a prompt for them to design characters. Some based on SW aliens and some original.

The whale in Avatar 2 (whose name is Payakan, which I know because two podcasts I listen to are totally Avatar-pilled) was bitchin. Just a boy and his whale, extremely good shit. And he fucks shit up. Other than that, I don’t really remember much of the movie.

My take on the "AVATAR hasn't made a big cultural impact" thing is that for movies in the last 40 years to make a big cultural impact, people need to watch them over and over and over, and among popular films, AVATAR is uniquely bad at being a movie that people want to watch on their TV.
