Oh FFS Labor - time to step up and support Australians!
Australia must be protected from Trump & maga.

The USA is being wrecked by greed, dishonesty & incompetence. It’s sad for all those who have to suffer Trump’s megalomania, but we don’t have to hold on while they go down.

Bushfires are terrifying and the ones we have already seen across Victoria and Adelaide have caused so much devastation. We can't let this become our normal, we need to act on climate induced disasters and slow the acceleration caused by coal and gas operations.

Ryan also criticised Labor for mishandling the bill process and not allowing enough time for proper scrutiny, and argued the bill had been significantly weakened by negotiations with the LNP.

Sad about Phillip Adams getting sacked by the Australian after all these decades. Kinda glad tho that the increasingly ugly propaganda sheet has lost another of its fig leaves. It is not a respectable enterprise, and a small handful of good people can’t make it so.

A strong rationale for rejecting Trump’s #BoardOfPeace … also why the hell would anyone want to pay HIM a billion dollars 💵 to be on the board.
FFS he’s a felonious sex offender who couldn’t lead his way out of a paper bag.

Europe holds roughly $8 trillion in US assets. If they start dumping Treasuries in a coordinated way, it could destroy our country without firing a single bullet.

I do not approve. Party contributions would be more appropriate, yet respectful. RIP
Lol the entire program of the Australian Parliament today, both houses, is everyone just having their five minutes of condolences for the victims of the Bondi shooting. And then adjourning “as a mark of respect”.

For example, the House of Reps just now.

The long term is sooner than we think. Science-based policies via IPBES are crucial.🌍

Trump is trying to sell Palestinian sovereignty for $1 billion per seat while Palestinians are still being bombed and starved under the so-called “ceasefire.”

This isn’t diplomacy, it’s profiteering off genocide. Australia better not touch this with a 10-foot pole.

The Greens are ready to work with the government to pass gun laws next week.

The rest of the omnibus bill however needs too much reworking to meet community concerns.

We need to keep all people in the community safe from discrimination and hatred, but good laws don’t come from rushed work.

“Labor's awful omnibus bill is a distinctly Albanese-era creation.

And the ignorant, inconsistent ranting from the Coalition is more of the same from 2025.

What have we done to deserve such dire politicians?”

www.crikey.com.au/2026/01/16/l...
What have we done to deserve this? A dud bill, from a dud government, railed at by a dud opposition
The government's hate speech bill is very much the product of the Albanese-era. And the reaction to it from the opposition is also deeply in character for a flailing Coalition.
