So that fits.

Ahahahahaha.
The finances of Silicon Valley’s two largest AI startups show a diverging approach to the AI boom, with Anthropic on a pace to turn a profit far more quickly than rival OpenAI.

Scientology as a ‘real religion’ which then gets charity status from the ATO after harassing said ATO and it’s staff, now gets $1 million dollars from Minns government

Are you okay with NSW? If not then #RiseUp

How much money do you think a private school linked to Scientology should get from the NSW Government?

In 2022, the Athena school with only 55 students received total Government funding of over a million dollars.

Interesting that China is put in a bracket with Australia. Cash is all but unknown there now, unlike here.
That chart is well worth studying. Share of daily transactions taking place in cash around the world. As an Australian, I’m very much used to cashless everything by now. I’m still totally against going fully cashless.

What you’re witnessing is a populist assault on the BBC.

This is not an institutional scandal in any meaningful sense of the word. It is an attack on public service broadcasting.

"...And blocks entry into carbon trading systems." You'd friggin well hope.
Marine CO₂ removal lacks standardized indicators to quantify carbon removed and environmental impacts. This absence of reliable metrics prevents verification, inhibits investment, and blocks entry into carbon trading systems.

Once every 20 years or so, the director-general of the BBC is forced to resign for being insufficiently rightwing. Alastair Milne in 1987. Greg Dyke in 2004. Tim Davie in 2025. The great irony is that the BBC was in all cases profoundly biased towards established power. But just not biased enough …

What if the mega-rich suddenly tried to cash out their (mostly paper) wealth and somehow spend it ... or, what if we took it all off them and tried to spend it, for public good? What would happen?

1. The market value of their assets would collapse
2. Inflation would shoot up, to hyper levels.

Absolutely pointless contribution from Zoe Daniel here. Like a columnist who’s already run out of ideas so just keeps repeating the same thing. In this case: centrism no matter the cost.
