The assessments are finished,
The grades have been entered.
How are you travelling?
I feel demented. 😀

End of year marking is officially my bitch so I’m going to light the fire and have a couple of strong drinks.

Thank you linesmen, thank you ball boys. We’re done.

Guess whose kid spent hours preparing dinner for the family only to be foiled by an old pot (handle)?

The crash out is real so we’re having kebabs. :)

Megyn R Kelly is trying to create a permission structure to forgive sex abusers, rapists and pedophiles. Apparently it’s only bad if the victim is 5, not if she’s 15.

Kelly’s daughter is 13.

Reminder: If the person you’re trying to have sex with is too young to consent, it’s not sex. It’s rape.

Give a man a fish and someone with a thousand fishes is going to bitch about people getting free handouts. Teach a man to fish? Yeah, that person with a thousand fishes is going to bitch about that too.

All the usual suspects.

I’d have to question my life choices if my employer paid me to write articles that got me investigated by the Human Rights Commission for racism.

Not this lot though.

The Epstein files are clearly more damning than we assumed, which is saying something.

I’ve finished two rounds of marking and have one to go.

My favourites so far:

- Describing a global news story as “ready to break the internet”;

- Defining explainer journalism as “a deep dive with good sources”.

Gen Z is ace and I may have used emojis in their feedback. :)

I’m taking a break from marking second-year media law and ethics explainers.

I just realised I’ve written “ew paragraph” a couple of times instead of “new paragraph”.

Sometimes it’s a fair comment but it’s not the message I want to convey about structure.

I’m still a bit if a humbug about Halloween but I fear one day soon I’ll succumb to the weird and wonderful joy it brings.

Father and daughter going to separate parties and absolutely slaying it. ❤️

PS If I didn’t have a thing for Aquaman before, the deal is now sealed. 😂

News Corp's Courier Mail linked a teen girl's suicide bullying on social media as part of its campaign for the <16 ban.

But the child's parents said she wasn't bullied on social media. Which News would have known if they contacted them before publishing.

This is a very good point. Why is a violent neo-N*zi a protected species?

Thomas Sewell is a very dangerous man. That he can turn up threatening the premier two days after being filmed attacking Camp Sovereignty and he still isn't arrested is quite something.

IMO, Rupert Murdoch is not turning against Trump. News Corp is doing what it does best: making bank from politics.

The WSJ article isn’t breaking anything. It will allow Trump to release what he believes are the “pertinent” Epstein files, relieving some of the pressure he’s under.
