Guess whose kid spent hours preparing dinner for the family only to be foiled by an old pot (handle)?

The crash out is real so we’re having kebabs. :)

Megyn R Kelly is trying to create a permission structure to forgive sex abusers, rapists and pedophiles. Apparently it’s only bad if the victim is 5, not if she’s 15.

Kelly’s daughter is 13.

Reminder: If the person you’re trying to have sex with is too young to consent, it’s not sex. It’s rape.

I’m still a bit if a humbug about Halloween but I fear one day soon I’ll succumb to the weird and wonderful joy it brings.

Father and daughter going to separate parties and absolutely slaying it. ❤️

PS If I didn’t have a thing for Aquaman before, the deal is now sealed. 😂

They’re all such staggering hypocrites. Bev’s angry about misogyny but her specialty is racism.

This makes me think about when the British colonisers first heard Australian birds. 😂

Me, today.
Thank you, dog people.

IMO, Rupert Murdoch is not turning against Trump. News Corp is doing what it does best: making bank from politics.

The WSJ article isn’t breaking anything. It will allow Trump to release what he believes are the “pertinent” Epstein files, relieving some of the pressure he’s under.

Mark Latham has been showing us who he really is for years. If you didn’t believe him the first time, here’s a reminder.

He trolled and harassed DV survivor and advocate, Rosie Batty, ably assisted by the likes of the AFR (and others) who profited from his rage-bait engagement.

Sometimes I get up in the morning and wonder what the hell happened while I slept.

Today I was greeted with three of five 1Direction dolls strengthening their cores on the kitchen bench.

I think it’s Harry, Zane and RIP Liam but don’t quote me on that.

Having young-adult children is the best. 😀

If you’ve ever ask yourself how the ABC got so bad, particularly around politics, here’s a big hint.

Some News Corp employees never stop being News Corp employees, regardless of where they work.

Fake autumn (aka late summer) appears to have pissed off. Finally, it feels like winter is here. 🔥

I love how News Corp attacks our voting system rather than acknowledging Australian voters chose those preferences.

The Trumper accusations stuck because News Corp shouted the Liberals’ hard-right credentials for months.

If anyone’s to blame for the losses, it’s News Corp.

When future students reflect on this period of history, they’ll recognise the complicity of the 4th Estate.

Republicans failing to uphold fundamental democratic principles should be the lead story.

A $400 million breach of the Constitution is more than straining the bounds of propriety.

Exactly. I’d rather be tied to the French than the US.

Morrison ingratiated himself with Trump and Co and sold us out.

This is from January 2024.

Today’s crafty cocktail is called the Tuscadero, for obvious reasons. :)

45ml vodka
15ml passionfruit liqueur
90ml lemon juice
Smidge of vanilla syrup

Pour into an ice-filled shaker and AGITATE.

Strain into a glass crusted with a 70/30 sugar to salt ratio.

One of the benefits of being an ex-bartender is falling in love with cocktails when you’re older.

Vodka, passionfruit liqueur, homemade vanilla syrup and Aldi passionfruit pulp in syrup on ice.

Pour into an ice-filled shaker.

Shake your rage away. Strain.

Voila!

I agree 100%. In an age of billionaire-owned media and rampant mis- and disinformation, context is everything.

Zelenskyy and Ukraine have said thank you many times.

True that. I’m also wary of James Massola after he penned that political valentine for Jenny Morrison before the last election.

“If Jenny Morrison could meet 50.1 per cent of voters, Scott Morrison would be prime minister for life.” 🤮

It’s not analysis or opinion, it’s Liberal PR.

Today’s gripe:

Peter Dutton is a property mogul whose family trust has benefited from multiple government subsidies.

And I don’t think NewsCorp and 9Entertainment are publishing this to discredit Dutton. I think it’s done to broaden his appeal with their wealthier readers.

Essential reading.

Successive Liberal govs have trashed Medicare. Fraser, Abbott & Morrison all did their best to hinder our access to healthcare.

Peter Dutton is a liar and the Libs will NEVER follow through on their Medicare promise. Ever.

It started as soon as Labor made announced it. Apparently we should ignore 50 years of Liberal history dealing with Medicare.

Fraser abolished Medibank, Abbott lied about cuts to Medicare funding and Morrison “changed” 900 Medicare items without notice during a pandemic - just to name a few.
