There is no reason to follow me. Seriously, think about the children.

I really haven't been persuasive about this. You shouldn't follow me. It can't go well for you.

I think there are a lot of stereotypes about "city" mouse and "country" mouse. But nobody talks about the suburban mouse who lives in commuting distance of work but also likes a tree-lined street and a cozy downtown area.

My takeaway from every new Epstein revelation is that some powerful people victimized many powerless young women, many more knew, some actively enabled it--and we're still being told that MeToo and accountability for sexual violence have gone too far

I mean, classical music is a money-losing situation. If you're putting on concerts of Handel and Vivaldi, you're just lighting money on fire. The warmth and glow from that fire might be good for your soul though.

Unlike you, I can read and that’s why I know what the constitution says.
Trump on Ilhan Omar: "I look at somebody who comes from Somalia...and she comes in and tells us how to run our country. 'The Constitution says this, the Constitution says that.' The whole thing is crazy."

It's not "The Democrats." It's eight Democrats and EVERY SINGLE REPUBLICAN.
Does Schumer need to be replaced by Brad Lander? Of course he does. And then we need to flip a dozen gerrymandered seats to ensure that the Republicans are stopped (and that small minority of Democrats are stopped.)

I’m also wondering how he eats and breathes and other science facts.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

Joyce Carol Oates sitting across a desk from Kendrick Lamar:

"So I'm putting a team together..."

Isaac Chotiner knocks on the open door.
Personally, I will be trying to avoid the notice of Joyce Carol Oates and Kendrick Lamar for the rest of my natural life
I need Joyce Carol Oates to be mean to me online so I can get my life together

I saw a remarkable performance in a church in a small town in Upstate New York.

First of all, the venue sounds great -- especially for late baroque and early classical. Short reverb time but very smooth. Also, some quite good players.

The other joke here is that the one thing computers ARE good at (and will totally replace you with) is math. They can't get along with other people for crap. But if you forget how to calculate an angle, Google will just tell you.

Every alien hive-mind species I've run into become incredibly paranoid about the non-hive-mind individuals (like humans) getting hurt. To them, each one of us is a whole hive which needs to be protected at almost all costs. The idea of a single human getting killed is like a holocaust to them.

I've noticed the opposing team's fans only cheer when the opponents score on us. To win those fans over, I recommend we score on ourselves repeatedly; that will surely make them so happy they'll start supporting us. And I'm sure all our fans will keep cheering for us—who else is there to cheer for?

I am 60 years old. I've been playing guitar since I was... 11? 12? And I just realized I have terrible technique for playing a double-bar 7 chords. Like, horrible. The flat 7 sits right between my finger joints and ends up being muted.
Good grief. I only learned this when trying to learn I want you
