Remember when COVID hit & some experts warned that 100k could die, and most people, including other experts said that was alarmist…then a million died and we shrugged?

When I tell you the US mil will be shooting Americans in the street it sounds alarmist; in 3 yrs we’ll shrug and say “of course.”
Yeah, you read that right.
The Trump administration has asked the 7th US Circuit Court of Appeals to stay District Judge Sara Ellis’ preliminary injunction restricting the use of force against protesters and journalists in Chicago.

The President pardoned members of his private militia after they failed to overturn an election; they, in turn, pledge their support to him and urge him to use them to police civil society.
New:

On The Gateway Pundit's podcast yesterday, Stewart Rhodes announced he's relaunching the Oath Keepers

He also urged Trump to “call us up as a militia" & "order us all to come together in our counties under his command."

Fighters vs. Collaborators
That’s just it. In the Democratic Party, the question isn’t moderate or leftist right now. It’s whether or not a dem understands that the old political playbook for dealing with the right is obsolete.
One point worth emphasizing here: The punditry has been saying Sherrill (and Spanberger) represent the sane centrist wing of the party versus the left. Well, okay, but here Sherrill is urging more fight. Again, the results show that anti-Trump + affordability can *unite* the party. This shows how.

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

@kaine.senate.gov @markwarner.bsky.social

Ditto. I’m a constituent and a federal employee not getting paid…for what if you cave now?
Sen. @kaine.senate.gov, I'm a constituent and just called your office, but of course it's closed, so let me message you instead. Do NOT support the CR-Minibus because it does not protect Congress's power of the purse. Without such provisions, the WH will continue to ignore Congress with impunity.
What's in the CR Deal for Congress?

Trump: I'm dismantling the Constitution, building a paramilitary fascist army loyal only to me, demolishing the White House, and blowing up the US economy for my billionaire cronies

Schumer: Okay, but you have to extend subsidies for corporate health care

Trump: No

Schumer: Okay

"a continuing resolution doesn't give Trump MORE money, it just gives him a blank check"
Rep. Andy Harris: "A continuing resolution doesn't increase spending, but it also gives the administration the ability to tweak funding. Those Biden-era programs that aren't very favorable like USAID obviously are subject to rescission." (Yeah, that's the whole problem!)

800+ flights cancelled today because Elon took a chainsaw to the federal government and Trump won’t pay the remaining airport personnel.

Elon’s on his way to becoming a trillionaire.

Trump’s net worth has more than doubled inside a year.

Glad everything worked out for them.

How about you?

It was a rejection of the entire administration and Dems should see this as a signal to become an actual opposition party. On everything. You don't stop the shutdown. You don't approve another appointee. You do nothing at all. The voters saved you, not the other way around. LEARN TO LEAD.
On a call with reporters, DNC chair Ken Martin responds to JD Vance claiming Dems only won big last night because races were in blue states.

"Well that's bullshit. We won in red counties, blue counties, purple counties," Martin says. And it was all "a rejection of Trump."

Don't forget that Zohran Mamdani spent his entire campaign standing proudly beside the trans community. He went to trans rights rallies just to show support. He proudly waved trans rights flags without hesitation. He refused to back down in support of trans rights. That makes me happy.

Under Trump, the draconian future of homelessness policy is coming into focus: mass internment. Utah is building a 16-acre site to detain up to 1,300 homeless people inside locked "accountability centers." This is profoundly alarming.
