There's another video of people just pulling out their phones and recording as people are crushed to death at the exit instead of grabbing people or doing something to help. It's an even worse bystander effect.

Without a doubt. He will make a good faith effort to enact all his policy ideas. He will succeed on some and fail on others. And that’s fine. That is how change works. Also his promises are all feasible.
Do you think he can actually achieve his promises?

Mamdani: I have been told that this is the occasion to reset expectations, that I should use this opportunity to encourage the people of New York to ask for little and expect even less. I will do no such thing. The only expectation I seek to reset is that of small expectations.

I talk about this constantly, there is theoretically no getting rid of him for the GOP because of this, he can't just lose the nomination one year and fade into irrelevance; he can get to congress and stay there for 30 years quoting Debs and pushing human-first policies from a national podium
One underrated thing Mamdani has going for him is that he has always known he is ineligible for the presidency

2025 will be remembered for many reasons.

For me, I will remember it as the year that a psychic looked me in the eyes and informed that I will "father many children" in a way that continues to concern me.
