I’m only like 5 hours in, but the writing in Octopath Traveler 0… woof.

Octopath 2 had some goofiness, but generally I felt subverted a lot of the tropes it was playing with.

This one though… How many maniacally laughing Joker characters do we need?! There are currently at least three!

Lyric Games, Story Games, throw a dart to hit a 4e-alike, there is something of value to be learned from -every- kind of game, even if it's derivative. You cannot diminish someone's writing to something unworthy of respect just because you dont like it.

Most of us did not choose to write or draw or design so that we could put products on the shelf. We chose to do it because it’s a set of skills we enjoy exercising, that give us fulfillment.

It’s like asking a pro pitcher to just let a machine pitch for them. Fuck off and give me the ball.

This is such a misunderstanding of why writers, artists, and designers do research to begin with, which is to find something unexpected, not capture the average or find reference for the default.

And, as always, the biggest misapprehension: We don’t want to NOT do this part. It’s fun to learn shit
Anyone who supports this is an embarrassment. "Instead of typing it out they'll generate their idea"? Are you insane?

Call yourself whatever you want but you aren't creatives, that's for sure.

Rushed to see Return of the King with my dad after an early Christmas dinner at my grandparents house. When we got there the only seats available were in the front row. The orcs were like 20-feet-tall.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

This is a hilarious explanation. Who’s he been shaking hands with? Freddy Krueger?
Q: Can you explain what's going on with the bandages on Trump's hand?

LEAVITT: We've given you an explanation. The president is literally constantly shaking hands.

It may sound radical, but if one guy has so much wealth and power that he can use the large newspaper he owns to publicly threaten to ruin a service we all rely on, presumably as a bargaining tactic to get lower rates, we probably need to tax that guy until he can't do that anymore.

But Amazon may give up its long-standing partnership with USPS to deliver packages itself, which could spell disaster for the mail agency.
