ffxiv, retro, animals, stuff, things, animals…can I go now?
Also that “bad” art can be good and fun in ways other than technical impressiveness.

Just off the dome, this picture has brought me so much happiness

The "Frieren angle" thing, apart from just being delightful, also completely demolishes the pathetic "AI is democratising art" argument. Someone struggling with a difficult drawing received advice from hundreds of strangers who just wanted to help them improve their art.

Someone just called the far right a "cancer in society," and as a person living with terminal cancer I find this really offensive.

I mean, cancer isn't killing people on PURPOSE. Cut it some slack.

I don’t like people taking videos of me. I don’t like thinking that someone could be watching me do something that I’m not currently doing.

And to answer your question, yeah probably.

I think “tiger ate my face” is a much more apt modern analogy than “live by the sword, die by the sword” because I think dying by a sword would be a cool way to go out.

It means I’d have been bested by a skilled warrior and there’s no shame in that in Valhalla.

pre-writing a devastating obituary for your enemy is god-tier hating of a kind you don’t often see anymore. renaissance haterism. beautiful stuff.
A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.

Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.

I think we need to stop calling it empathy and go back to calling it decency. It isn't a favour you're doing someone else, it's you proving that you aren't a fucking ghoul

This is on the director. What video game do you want me to play, man? Pokemon Stadium mini games? Smash Bros? Mario Party?

I gotta know my stance!
Producer: yea, so just act like you're actually playing a video game.

It’s funny to imagine him thinking he can outrun spontaneous collapse and/or death.

I’m sensing a lot of existential mania by certain parties recently lol
RFK Jr's response to someone collapsing nearby him was to haul ass out of the room as quickly as possible

I bet I could create a convincing conspiracy theory that he blew it up to destroy evidence of of sex crimes but…that could actually be plausible.
Nothing captures the current state of U.S. democracy as accurately as this (real) picture of the White House.

The inflatables at protests are energizing in the same way that Tim Walz calling the right “weird” was.

Fascists *hate* being mocked or portrayed as non-serious. It interrupts their LARP tough guy rhetoric just enough to break the spell of accepting them as inevitable.
