Scarborough Council, UK, Dec 22, cancelled New Year’s Eve fireworks to protect a migrating walrus named Thor.
Experts from British Divers Marine Life Rescue advised Council that the fireworks would distress Thor. Council decided Thor’s wellbeing was more important than tradition 💙

Musk wants to decimate TWO endangered cat species to blow up more rockets.
The land at issue is part of the Lower Rio Grande Valley National Wildlife Refuge, which was established in 1979 to protect native habitat along roughly 75 miles of the Rio Grande. Rather than existing as one continuous park, the refuge links together scattered tracts owned and managed by private landowners, nonprofits, the State of Texas, and neighboring refuges, including Laguna Atascosa and Santa Ana. This patchwork supports rare wildlife such as ocelots and the jaguarundi, and serves as a critical corridor for migratory birds.

Common in the Indo-Pacific, they're particularly dense on the Great Barrier Reef of Australia. 🌊🧪

Another comic from this past year. Sometimes I'm in awe about how incredibly small birds can be.

I feel like every scene I draw for Gilt is a real struggle and I am never satisfied, but then I put the character sprites over my WIPs and seeing them hanging out in that world makes me happy.
