ok i think i'm done with this CS 1.6 FAMAS retexture i was working on, i could keep messing with it still but i'm wayyy past diminishing returns already.

just need to recompile the .mdl to fix shading issues (and maybe make a HD version with a smoothed model/UV fixes) and then release.

pretty much done with the FAMAS texture aside from a couple spots where i wanna tidy up the highlights and some pixel level polish, gonna try and finish it either tomorrow or over the weekend and then upload it to gamebanana for all the 3 people still downloading CS 1.6 skins 💅

This might be the best FAMAS texture I've ever seen. Holy shit
little more progress on that CS 1.6 FAMAS retexture, almost done now - just needs a few more details and a bit of final polish here and there. really happy with how well it's turned out considering i'm using the default UVs which aren't amazing

i suppose for #PortfolioDay i have to post these quake 2 remastered world/pickup weapon models again because they are definitely one of my proudest achievements, still can't believe i'm in the actual damn credits for quake 2 😵‍💫

bit more work, some librequake assets in context - one of the aims of the replacer textures is that you can use it with librequake content and it'll fit stylistically better than vanilla map textures

means you'll also be able to compile the original map sources with open source textures ;)

whipped up a treadplate floor for the quake 1 techbase replacement texture project i'm chipping away at on the side, needs a bit more polish still but managed to get it pretty nice ingame. reads way better than the original IMO

it's only tech art if it's from the tech art region of France, otherwise you've got sparkling senior generalist

quick oldschool material test in photoshop in the vein of the goldsrc mod work i was doing in the mid 00s, just photoshop filters & basic round brush used, all mouse work.

250x150px & truecolour (though it looks nearly identical with a 256 colour palette as the HL1 engine would use)
