I like that the same day a guy was like “this place will never be Twitter” this thread gave us the most 2015 Twitter experience (complimentary) imaginable.
I just woke up from a nap and somehow while I was asleep, everyone on the bus has figured out we are not going to the right place

One of the most horrific codebases I've ever seen is one in which all the styling was done using Tailwind's @apply. No utility classes in markup, just CSS files full of selectors and @apply. They had inexplicably reinvented CSS in Tailwind, and it struck fear into my very heart.

tailwind discourse spinning up now is so funny. i didn't previously know that the main tailwind guy actively hates CSS as a technology, but it makes complete sense if you have ever had the displeasure of reading tailwind based fe code, which feels like it has total disdain for you as the reader

Thank goodness every port is usb c now so we can live in a world where cables are inscrutable and we have to write on them whether they can do data or charging. It’s like HDMI only even worse and I love that for us.

A real news outlet publishing the phrase "Grok apologized" should result in like a week-long timeout. Think about what you've done.

It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

So love wobbegongs. Everything is good about the wobbegong. Its name. Its flattened Oscar the Grouch face. Its frondy bits. Its lazy life as a hungry rug. And it’s a shark. Outstanding animal 10/10
The Tasselled Wobbegong is a master of disguise that can eat a fish almost as big as itself in one gulp. It's classified as a shark, but when it lays on the sea floor it looks like a harmless rug if you manage to see it. But with powerful jaws and sharp teeth they are no fish to mess with.

There's an easy way to check whether news are trustworthy: are you getting them from a propaganda rag (WaPo, NYT), or from the paper of record (Teen Vogue)?
A large majority of U.S. adults now get news digitally, but nondigital news consumers are less likely to say they extremely often or often encounter inaccurate news.

Read more on Americans’ views of information accuracy and distinguishing truth from fiction:
Many Americans say they often come across inaccurate news – and have a hard time knowing what’s true
Those who report often encountering inaccurate news are more likely than those who rarely or never do to say it’s hard to know what is true (59% vs. 31%).

Read that again: it's not just OpenAI that's broke. All of VC is broke.
