Watching Nuremberg and feel strongly these Nazis had an ineffective assistance of counsel claim against their lawyers, who never once noted that the Dow Jones Industrial Average was over 50,000 dollars.

We must speak plainly about the agenda Elon Musk & other MAGA leaders are pushing. It’s white nationalism.

There’s no room for Black, Hispanic/Latino, Asian, Native, Jewish or all other Americans in Musk’s monocultural vision.

Multiculturalism is superior. We can’t allow Musk & others to end it.

For me this is very simple.

There is widespread, longstanding practice of using "Zionists" as coded slur for Jews, or "Jews I don't like" (regardless how they define themselves).

That is sufficient reason to refrain from broad-brush language such as "Zionism=Racism" or "Zionists not welcome".
Here is an explanation on why Jewish Greens (who obviously don't speak for every single Jewish person in the party, etc) are so opposed to the Zionism is Racism motion brought to the #GreenParty's spring conference.

It’d still be a better path than following RFK Jr.
We wanted to understand how mRNA vaccines work. So we talked to three cocaine addicts in a gas station bathroom off Route 6.

I'm trying to identify where the sample comes from in the Mercury Rev song "Meth of a Rockette's Kick" - I've isolated it as best I can.

It sounds like maybe it's a 50s or 60s girl group?

Yerself is Steam - brief, combustible. A band discovering its own weird physics.

Those first albums feel like a secret history now, the early phase before different kinds of beauty, melancholy, and communing with nature came on.

(Boces reissue next? 🤞🏻)

As we’re enjoying the Olympics, let’s remember the best mascot who ever was, MukMuk the marmot, from the 2010 Vancouver winter games. He’s just a fan who loves being there.

I mean this with tremendous respect and admiration - Ilia Malinin looks like a character from a fairytale who came to life because he believed in himself enough.

Another classic turning 30 - B12's second album. A love letter to witty scifi and cyberpunk, something like a more optimistic Blade Runner perhaps?

Classic artwork from The Designers Republic, including a great companion manual in this reissue.

“Sure we could blame the piece of garbage in the WH who is extorting critical infrastructure as a vanity project, but have you considered instead blaming anyone who refuses to appease his every demand?”
LAWLER: Renaming infrastructure projects is not a new concept

KARL: Okay, but this isn't like, 'let's honor somebody.' Trump wants it named after himself! And he says he'll unfreeze the money if they do it

L: I could care less what the name of an infrastructure project is. I care that it gets done

Perfect Saturday listening, and another great 33 1/3 read. Loved diving into the atmosphere at the time around Ski Beatz’ place, D&D Studios, friendly competition with Jay-Z, Digable Planets and Jungle Brown. Ski’s right that there’s still no other group out there like Camp Lo.

This is where I learned to love ultra-digital and quirky sounds, in the hands of the right musician. Some great drill n' bass/hip-hop workouts, some real digital celestial synth beauty, and tracks that clash between the two.

Like Stereolab, Tortoise made a triumphant return last year which both felt like they’d never been gone (or gotten rusty), and like they still had some things to say.

There are few people I have less sympathy for than One True Left types who are big mad that normie libs are a big part of successfully organizing in MN.

I don’t care about terminally online personalities, are more people joining and is the pressure making a dent? Good!
