The Paris municipal election is next month. New York City & Mayor Mamdani showed us the inspirational power of the right election result. The Paris election has the opposite potential — the most inspiring city in the world in recent years potentially going backwards. Please Paris, keep inspiring us.
I believe the 2 most important city mayoral elections in the world will be tomorrow’s New York City Election (the most important turning point #VOTE in New York history? #VOTEMamdani) & next year’s Paris Election for the successor of this generation’s most important/influential mayor, Anne Hidalgo.

Great article about how some countries (like Romania) have seen absolute decoupling, but that this is not sufficiently fast for climate mitigation targets. In addition most countries have only seen relative decoupling and many have also been recoupling. #greengrowrh is not enough, we need #degrowth!

Great introductor explainer on #postgrowth and #degrowth - we need to take nature seriously and aim for sufficient absolute decoupling of wellbeing from all ecological impacts.

Dear @trenitalia why do you cancel your trains less than a week in advance for planned building works? Have you heard of customer service? Please provide an alternative, not just say there isn't and please get in touch. That's even worse than SNCF - customers matter! #crossborderrail

For me, this book didn't feel particularly revelatory because it's just common sense. Infinite growth is impossible on a finite planet, and measuring economic stability with a single metric (GDP) completely flattens and obstructs reality. @matthiasschmelzer.bsky.social @avansi.bsky.social #climate
