Why does @gene4va.bsky.social keep voting for horrible Trump bills that take away DC home? If you are his constituent, perhaps you could call his office and ask?
I am especially disappointed in @gene4va.bsky.social. He has now voted SEVEN times to advance Trump’s takeover of DC. He claims to support democracy, but then opposes it at almost every turn for the city just 40 minutes away. Why is this local Dem supporting Trump’s agenda so strongly?

The President of the United States just called for Democratic members of Congress to be executed. "HANG THEM", he posted.

If you're a person of influence in this country and you haven't picked a side, maybe now would be the time to pick a fucking side.

Watch this steelman --

Stancil is arguing that the rot eating America alive is not "unaffordability" but social collapse -- dislocation, isolation, indulgence.

To make this point, he's pointing out our socially collapsed society easily gets its affordable slop (single-family homes).
“Nobody can afford to live, there’s an affordability crisis” says country where the median person can literally afford more stuff than any other country

This week I wrote about the rise of the e-bike dad - this piece was originally going to run alongside the story I did in September about the bike boom in general, and we didn't have space in print, but here it is:

DC is set to become the first city in the U.S. to implement a local child tax credit. It stands to transform lives + reduce child poverty by 25%. When we lift families out of poverty, we see outcomes across their lives improve: from education, to health, to employment, and more. 👉🏾 wapo.st/3XaOyEK

He will almost certainly demolish the West Wing before this is done, and I wouldn't be surprised if he demolished most of the White House. He doesn't care and no one is stopping him. He's an unrestrained tyrant and wants to build monuments to himself.
NEW: After The Washington Post reported Monday on the demolition of the "East Wing facade," a new picture obtained by Law Dork that was taken on Tuesday shows that a substantial portion of the entirety of the East Wing has been demolished.

The filibuster has to go and anyone who refuses to kill it cannot win here. Hopefully we can get someone better in the race, but when push comes to shove Mills cannot win unless she changes her position
i think this might give them too much credit but even if true, “the best we can find is a 70-something who isn’t even onboard with basic shit like ditching the filibuster” is either rank incompetence of actively and intentionally sabotaging any future dem majority.
Agree with all of this!

Find a No Kings protest Saturday and go!

Don't worry that you've never been to a protest before. Don't worry about being dressed wrong or looking out of place. Don't worry that you don't agree about everything -- or even about much -- with lots of people at the protest.

I love realizing I forgot something critical while boarding an 8:14 NE Regional, so I bike home, grab it, bike back from Dupont in 9 minutes and hop on a just-booked 8:40 NextGen Acela for less than double my original fare, then use an about-to-expire upgrade coupon for First Class.

Nobody cares about the victims in the Dallas ICE shooting apparently. The first I've heard about one of them was on CNN today. He's fighting for his life in the hospital --- he was brought to the US when he was 13. He's 33 now. No criminal record.

I just don't know what to say anymore.

I warned last October that if Donald Trump returned to the White House, the fate of the free press would depend on the willingness of corporate media executives to fight for it.

It's not going well. www.mediamatters.org/donald-trump...
