Headlines purposely misleading.

EV sales continue to grow globally.

ICE sales are down by approx. 25%from their peak in 2017, and show no signs of recovering.

It is exceedingly likely that 2017 will be the high-water mark of gas-powered cars ever sold on this planet.

EV sales *still* have not fallen, cooled, slowed or slumped. Media is lying to you.
After two years of headlines begging for failure, EV sales keep defying false media narratives that they are dropping, and continue to rise.

Oil and gas trumps climate action in brutal federal budget
The budget makes clear that fossil fuel production for export is a central pillar of this government’s economic strategy — and that it won’t let climate measures get in the way.

I voted Liberal because Mark Carney was the adult in the room who "got" the climate urgency.
I anticipated weak measures in yesterday's budget on climate & environment --owing to the global headwinds, regional politics in Canada and intense industry lobbying-- but something positive at least.

In today’s Vatnik Soup, we’ll explain the context of the upcoming Budapest Blunder, and how it follows the infamous Alaska Fiasco from two months ago and Trump’s absurd delaying of serious aid to Ukraine and effective sanctions on Russia for the past nine months.

The #RootCauses of Russia's murderous war on #Ukraine:
1. Russia(ns) have always felt themselves superior.
2. Russia resents others showing you can build a more tolerant, progressive and free-thinking society.
3. Russia/Putin will do and say anything to try and prove they are superior.

So they’ll arrest 474 people for holding signs opposing genocide, but the people trying to burn down immigration centres have legitimate concerns? Is that right? Have I missed something?

It is shocking to think there are humans capable of such depraved behaviour, and that neither the Saskatchewan provincial government nor law enforcement authorities are willing to act on it. just who exactly is calling the shots in our society now?
The people of Richmound need help dealing with a QAnon cult barracaded in an abandoned school spewing raw sewage in their town. Is anyone listening? www.facebook.com/story.php?st...

When a government or industry tells you that you're forbidden from filming, you know they have something very bad they don't want shown or known.
Thinking specifically about Gaza and about Canada's tar sands.

Some facts, for those who celebrate:
1. Oil & gas output in Canada is at an all-time record
2. Canada is 16th in world on index of per capita income, life expectancy & education
3. No country above Canada needed bitumen to get there

Shouldn't need saying but...
United States didn't enter WWII until it was attacked at Pearl Harbour. "Not our war."
USSR entered WWII on same side as Hitler's Germany.
Both, ever since, have depicted themselves as saviours.
Countries that went in early and hard: UK, Norway, Canada, etc
We see you!
Hearing President of the United States saying how Putin ‘fought in WWII’ and sounding eerily close to classic Russian narrative of Russia being the saviour of the world in WWII is something else I gotta say
