Show me the most depraved undocumented immigrant, who has committed the most heinous crime, causing harm to me directly. ICE should not shoot that person. EVER. The state should NEVER execute a person, period, and certainly not without due process, certainly not in the street. This is fundamental.

ICE has killed 9 folks in the first 26 days of ‘26:

• Alex Pretti
• Renee Good
• Keith Porter
• Heber Sanchaz Domínguez
• Victor Manuel Diaz
• Parady La
• Luis Beltran Yanez-Cruz
• Luis Gustavo Nunez Caceres
• Geraldo Lunas Campos

They all deserve justice. And for us to remember their names.

This is a good reminder today that it's going to make their jobs easier for them if many of us feel like things have "gone back to normal".
ICE is worse now than 3 months ago. And here in Chicago they’re still still kidnapping our neighbors

But choppers overhead for hours? SUV caravans driving recklessly? Most Kavanaugh stops? Tear gassing neighborhoods?

That’s mostly Border Patrol. And it’s been much quieter since CBP left in Nov

The people of Minnesota have executed one of the most impressive civil resistance campaigns I can remember:

- Organized a city wide general strike
- Maintained nonviolent discipline amidst violence
- Mobilized 10,000s in subzero temps to protest and watch ICE
- Flipped public opinion against ICE

I have now seen present-day Minneapolis cited as similar to previous sites of sectarian violence e.g. Mogadishu, to "how civil wars start," and now to the American Revolution.
New at The Watch:

I dug into archival witness accounts of the British siege of Boston prior to the American Revolution.

They are remarkably similar to what we're seeing in Minneapolis.
