The whole “if everyone is mad at us we must be getting it right” attitude within the #BBC is so misguided…because everyone will also be mad at you if one side are disingenuous bad faith actors you constantly and fruitlessly try to placate and the other side are furious about that fact…

The period where the IDF were firing machine guns at people trying to pick up bags of flour was one of the most despicable things I’ve seen in this country: every day for weeks, people behaving like something confusing and hard to understand was happening, because they couldn’t say what they saw.

The centrist parties in the UK and US need to wrestle with the fact that they are used by business and right-wing interests to "squat" the vote against progressive policies. The "oh renewables are putting your costs up" stuff is a perfect example of that at a time when renewables are getting cheap.
