Old Joke Alert

If an elderly relative asks you to get them a big dictaphone with easy to press buttons ... they're not asking for the mobile number of #Trump or #Musk ... apparently!

Feel I should repost this old joke every day until the whole Emperor Nero's court thing is no longer an issue.

Labour are dancing to the tune of Reform's cruel agenda on asylum.

These proposals, including confiscating personal belongings, will punish people who have already endured unimaginable hardship and will create further divisions in our communities.

Plaid Cymru rejects such performative cruelty.

We don't need to "protect our borders"

Our biggest threat doesn't need to cross a border to harm us.

From a yacht, billionaires can move markets, pressure govs, dodge taxes & bankroll politicians to rewrite our laws.

The threat isn't the "outsider"

It's the concentrated power already inside.

Let's stop pretending that the billionaire media, endlessly attacking the BBC, has the slightest interest in balance, impartiality and accuracy. They won't be happy until the BBC is more rightwing than Vlad the Impaler. And then it still won't be enough.

🧵1/2 BBC's 1st problem isn't whether TACO will back off, but whether the vested interests behind him (broligarch's etc) will l bankroll a dodgy claim, in an UK court, that noone, before the BBC's clumsy cut & paste, thought he h'd incited insurrection on Jan 06
Nope, never entered our minds.🤷‍♂️
Nowhere in the hysterical pile-on against the BBC in the British press has anyone mentioned that BBC News now has 77 million viewers & listeners in the US and has established itself as the second most trusted news source there.

Absolutely this.
Maybe Keir should demand the heads of major US news networks any time they imply Britain is on the brink of civil war or that we live under sharia law. Or does it not work both ways?

The UK is a busted flush.

Decades of chaos, corruption and decline have proved it beyond doubt.

It’s time to abolish Westminster and end the Union.

All nations, including the reunification of the Island of Ireland, deserve the chance to choose their own future.

Uuuuuhhh BBC News? Have non migrant people totally stopped committing serious or violent crime?
Orrrr 🤔
Are we compensating for accidentally allowing an hour or two a day without saturation coverage of Reform in the run up to the Caerphilly by-election?
Have angry memos been sent from on high?😬

Uuuhh the next election in Wales is in 6 months. The Senedd elections.
Clearly not on London-centric commentators' radar.
🤷‍♂️

Lots of Labour despair on the timeline today.
The next election is likely more than three years away. The route to winning it starts by acknowledging that some more short term pain is probably required to get into a position where victory is possible.
This budget is going to be painful. But 1/3

Anyone taking an active interest in the Caerphilly Byelection on soc- med would have noticed the 💩🌊 of comments section of news outlets posts as well as any party that was not Reform.
No idea, how much 💰 was involved, but very few spouting pro Reform soundbites, had identifiable locations.

Nathan Gill will be sentenced on 21st November for 8 charges of taking Russian Bribes.

It’s essential that the European Parliament carries out an investigation in to UKIP, Brexit Party and Reform UK and their connection to Russia.

Investigation now!

Maybe he'll now remember how much he took from Putin's propaganda broadcaster Russia Today for all his TV appearances when he was a MEP?

Also, was Gill not wealthy enough to legally bully anyone (e.g. journalists) investigating his 🇷🇺 links.
