Sick to my stomach that the President being mixed up with a horrifying global network of pedophiles is considered a 'voter issue' and not something the whole world needs to know about and people need to be prosecuted for.

Only reason anyone would want people to ignore Epstein is if you're involved
The usual suspects are telling Dems that Epstein won’t win elections, get back to “affordability” and I think my head might explode. www.offmessage.net/p/force-a-re...
Force A Referendum On The Epstein Coverup
It divides Republicans much more than "affordability" or any other economic issue.

🤣 ACC officials being terrible on national tv yet again. #59 clearly shoved a guy after the whistle leading to the flag and yet they don’t call the foul on him.

This is why the vast majority of Democratic lawmakers wanted to force the ACA subsidies into a CR to reopen the government. That would’ve done more to force Mike Johnson’s hand. The deal they struck, which promises a vote in the Senate, does not guarantee a vote in the House.
In the most predictable development ever, Mike Johnson is not committing to hold a House vote on ACA subsidies

This sucks dude. EVEN if Thune isn’t lying to you about the vote, the House won’t hold a vote.

You got nothing, and just proved to the public that the shutdown was your fault.

And you proved to Republicans that they can weaponize hunger. You negotiated with terrorists

A reminder - last March, republicans promised to restore $1.1B in funding to DC in exchange for funding the government, and Mike Johnson never took it up in the House.

The original Dem demands were:
1) Permanent ACA subsidies
2) Medicaid funding restored
3) No more blank checks for the regime (rescission)

They dropped Medicaid immediately. Went silent on rescission. Cut back to 1 year of subsidies on Friday. And surrendered today.

The Senate Democrats!

What was the point of the shutdown if you’re just going to cave for nothing?

Why even bother?

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

i think this is key. taking the deal would amount to taking the blame. it would turn a clear political victory into an unambiguous defeat.
If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?

Caving on the shutdown won’t make you “moderate.” It makes you WEAK! Giving Republicans what they want for NOTHING more than a “promise” of a vote and risking millions of Americans’ healthcare isn’t compromise—it’s surrender and it’s the most RADICAL thing you could do in this moment. 1/

Every single Democratic senator that votes to cave on this should be immediately ejected from the party, and the national party should immediately start running primary candidates in their districts.

There is no bipartisanship possible with traitors and fascists. You either fight, or die.
