RIP Eric Dane.

By all accounts he was a crotchety motherfucker. But ALS is a curse no one deserves and to go out so fast, he was actually so strong in the end.

I know we’re all just used to Trump living in his Mad King era, but this isn’t how this is supposed to work at all. The entire reason the Constitution puts this power in Congress is so that whether or not we go into a war of choice isn’t just one man’s decision.

Anyone want the under on this guy having called himself “the idea guy” at least once?
AI filmmaking is completely unserious.

You've got people with $30k begging the internet for ideas by next week because they have nothing of their own to say, it's just slop for the sake of slop. Embarrassing state of affairs.

Ultimately, the Left won't embrace AI because rather than salesmen and financiers, the left is composed of professionals, lawyers and educators who read the way AI misrepresents our expertise and conclude all its answers are equally fraught with error. When you don't know anything, AI feels smart.

Somewhere there is an awesome level of village building where people in community care for one another that intersects with an awesome level of “if someone else’s choices have nothing to do with you, mind your own business” and I feel like as a society we are way off base on both.

Antibiotics really fuck me up. A 7 day course of cipro will destroy my GI function for months.

But if a doctor tells me I need them you best believe I’m taking every last pill. Gut bacteria are replaceable.
before antibiotics did people just die all the time from everything?

My biggest issue with AI is the same issue I have with conservative culture generally: it's completely sterile

Best case scenario, all either of them can do is imitate what some freakhow human genius created from thin air. Worst case: Millennial Grey minimalism, forever

Same. I have had a valid passport with the same name on it since I was 18 months old. This isn’t about me.

Also? Marco Rubio controls the passports. You only have one if he says you do.
The SAVE act won't stop me from voting because I kept my name when I got married, but I am still extremely pissed about it.
