This incident is a shocking reminder that the Trump administration's deportation agenda has never been about public safety. State lawmakers must act to protect our communities from violent ICE operations that undermine public safety, separate families, and spread chaos in our communities.

Local leaders agree: Military troops and armed federal agents don’t make our communities safer.

What does is funding programs that address the root causes of violence and ensuring police are accountable to the people they serve.

🚨 💰 WOW — @SenatorHagerty & @MarshaBlackburn snuck a provision into the spending bill that would let them sue the government for $500,000 because Jack Smith looked into their phone records around Trump’s insurrection.

Republicans in Congress extended tax breaks for billionaire corporations, but they refused to extend tax credits to lower health costs for working people.

While Trump and Republicans inflict pain on people, Democrats’ most important job is to fight back.

This deal is a mistake.

Voters want a Democratic Party that fights back against the forces that have rigged the system and made their lives more difficult.

A party that comforts the afflicted and afflicts the comfortable —not a party that buckles and capitulates.

When will party leadership learn this lesson?
