If you are sharing your knowledge on slacks or discords, it's gonna get lost pretty quick, no matter how good it is. Capture that knowledge and put it at a URL so everyone can benefit. I wrote up how I do so here: www.mooreds.com/wordpress/ar...

That's more than 1,100 jobs lost at the CSIRO over the last two years.

"Combined, the staff association estimates that equates to cutting the agency’s size by a third."

This is more cuts to the CSIRO than was attempted by the Abbott government.

Disappointed by the govt’s rushed push to pass a 1,500-page environment bill without proper scrutiny or consultation. This is a key chance to protect nature & embed climate accountability—but the bill falls short.

Okay, yes, humanity did not enact the single best possible outcome in response to the single worst problem we have ever faced as a species

In no way was it wrong to try, and in no way is it wrong to continue trying to jam a wrench in the greedy fossil fuel economy. Everything is still on the table

@vivaldi.com is what Firefox should have been.

It's innovating on features and experience, provides a ton of customisability, and I haven't yet discovered anything heinous about its owners.

I'm using Firefox at home and Vivaldi at work, but so close to making the switch.

Great work team 🙏

i made a template you can use to think about what "frame/negation/kirby" looks like for other issues.
For example:

Frame: DOGE is a govt efficiency project to save $

Negation: Actually it made things less efficient and cost $

Kirby: DOGE was a project to break and privatize federal bureaucracy

the fact that so many people frame autism as “a problem that needs to be solved” is a constant reminder that being “not normal” isn’t acceptable to a large amount of the world. it’s the same reason there’s a trans panic right now too. they think people are defective

New: HHS has told all employees that they should start using ChatGPT, continuing the administration's AI-ification of everything, its trust in tools that hallucinate, and the general sense that getting things right is not important or worth trying to do:

It sure looks like every last major tech firm is abandoning past commitments to end their use of fossil fuels. Particularly concerning given how we know that fossil fuel burning power plants are being built NOW with the explicit aim of powering data centers
