How do I explain to offline people that my favorite Japanese mascot said "we can only be liberated from queer oppression if we are truly seen as human" and then started wielding fireworks like a rocket launcher on the side of a mountain without sounding like I've totally lost it?

I mean, this is the problem right? We continually have a gun to our head. And we are told to pick between the status quo and fascism, both of which suck, but one is clearly worse. When in reality we need to destroy the person holding the gun metaphorically speaking - the gun being the system.
If you held a gun to my head and said "Trump or Newsome", I'd reach up, wrap my hands around yours, put my thumb on your trigger finger, and say "just fucking do it".
