It was supposed to be "be gay do crime", not "be gay be crime".

Magneto was right
No comic from me, today. The problem isn't inspiration. I have ideas coming out of my ears. The problem is scale. I only have BIG ideas, no little ones.

Call it an early Christmas present, to all three of my readers. Two of whom might know what this is about.

Once again, figures were made by loosely tracing posed 3D models, but I'm using them less slavishly and more of a guide, now.

A quick little comic for today. This time, while I still traced a posed 3D model, this was more like using it as a reference. Quick lines that roughly approximate it, rather than slowly and carefully tracing. Might actually learn some proportions and stuff, this way...

So this one is a bit of a longer one. Experimented with a few different textures, with using the gutters as background, and with pacing. It's a long way from a single panel gag.

Old Skies is my personal pick for game of the year. That’s saying something. This year I played Kathy Rain 2, which was great, The Drifter, which was amazing, the Oblivion remaster, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Old Skies beat them all.

I had a more ambitious one planned for today, and realising I wouldn't get that done in time, I made this quick one instead. I didn't suddenly become capable of realistic anatomy, by the way. I posed a 3D model and traced it.

Experiments and flaws abound. Also, pedantic taxonomy is definitely still in "probably was a @crustaceansingles.com comic" territory.
December 20, 2025 at 7:58 PM
@crustaceansingles.com How do you even start one of these?

Also, it's TOTALLY different and original because my guys aren't stick figures, right? COMPLETELY different thing. Even if this joke is so much like one of yours you may actually have done the exact same one before...

Melbourne spotted. Definitely a Myki reader you can see through the window, but I didn't think Transdev still had the contract for any bus lines here, so the photo is like... four years old at least?
My response to anything over the next two weeks

Melbourne’s Nazis are going to have a fucking field day, tomorrow. I bet they’re already organising their police-escorted protest marches…
December 14, 2025 at 11:15 AM
Waiting for the NSW Police to hold their conference so I can find out if I'll wake up to the Nazis starting their purge or not...

The $0 deal pays Rowling every time, but I don't even think you should pirate this. We should just cease to believe in JK Rowling's existence, and she'll lose her greatest power. I mean, there's no getting rid of the Scrooge McDuckian wealth, now, but she'll lose her platform.
epic will pay for every game that gets claimed this way so yes, you are still giving money to rowling (and by extension an international campaign against trans people) by claiming this

there are other, better franchises - let this one go
Epic Games partnered with The Game Awards to give away this week's free game on the Epic Games Store.

@safety.bsky.app Bang up job on that KWS age verification, guys! I've had time to read their privacy policy in full and still haven't had an opportunity to give them copies of my ID they're definitely going to share or have stolen from them!

Just finished The Drifter today. Crazily good game. So weird hearing Australian accents in a game! REAL Australian accents, not forced fake ones, too. Very few games give the kind of tension and suspense that The Drifter delivers on in each chapter.

Injecting weed is for dummies.
I just found this old picture of a poster that was on the wall at the school my friend taught at and there’s some incredible stuff in there

Food banks can always use money, but it’s rough out there, and money is tight for all of us. If you have non perishables like canned food, or things like rice or oats, they’ll often be glad of them. The other thing I’ve heard they want: powdered milk. Kids need calcium, and powdered milk keeps.
Donate to your local food bank instead.
I know it's a tad early but I know those bitches with the buckets will be out soon. Don't gove them a penny. The volunteers may not know but the salvation army is no ally and actively combative and harmful to many queer minorities especially during the holiday season

American schools don’t teach Archimedes’ Principle because it’s not American-made (in China).

USA! USA! USA!
Don't do any of this.

Trying to call the vet to get the results of my cat’s blood tests. I haven’t spoken to such a gormless twit in the phone in years, and I work in tech support. I was just about ready to ask them to put ME down so I didn’t have to be in that conversation anymore.

AND they couldn’t give me the results

Self selection at work. Can we just post that sign right outside of people’s front door? They can turn right the fuck around and go back inside.
Weird how many racists like to self-identify themselves as racists.

Used to be we had a good thing going on Global. If I wanted to read all of Edens Zero, that’d be US$500, roughly, at $15 a volume For 33 volumes. That’s AU$760. With the generous $3 a volume discount.

Needless to say, I’m not buying any of that. It’s more than paperback prices on Amazon right now.

Blumhouse are such a mixed bag of fine to preferring a root canal as a good way to spend 90 minutes (Insidious or ANY Paranormal Activity film are in that category). I hope it'll be good, but I'm filled with more tension and dread at the thought of it than the finished film/series will manage.
There’s a new chapter coming in the comic that redefined modern horror.
We’re bringing Something Is Killing the Children to life in both a live action film and adult animated series from @jamesthefourth.bsky.social Werther Dell'Edera and @boom-studios.com

Can AWS stay down like another… 18 hours? I don’t know how much of my job relies on it, but I know I have a fuckload of things to repair, and services being down would give me so much distraction free time!

Ugh… just read Bury the Lede, enjoyed it, went looking for more by the author, and I find he’s some weirdo chaser, apparently? Like, good for him for transitioning and being his authentic self but apparently that authentic self is some kind of absolute dick bag borderline incel?
