Watch this. Watch again.

"This incredible thing last night... We have to do it again [in other countries]. We can do it again, too. Nobody can stop us."

I really think that if you're a journalist who knew about it beforehand and you didn't report on it, you're a monster
(Semafor) - The New York Times and Washington Post learned of a secret US raid on Venezuela soon before it was scheduled to begin Friday night — but held off publishing what they knew to avoid endangering US troops ..

Again: Ta-Nehisi Coates was not wrong - people who do not draw a line at genocide, will not draw a line at democracy. They are extremists by their nature.

For other countries it is unfortunately seriously worth thinking about how in two successive cases in a row the United States seemingly has used negotiations as a feint from the very beginning while preparing devastating and senseless bombing campaigns which they execute no matter what

Just a reminder that Schumer is who the democrats chose as their leader, not a single senator has called for him to step down, and if a single senator did so and defied Chuck’s orders, that would almost certainly be the end of his leadership.

This is why there aren't organized leftist movements in the US by the way. whenever they get big enough or successful enough, all the leaders are murdered.

It’s the fucking East Wing all over again. Demolish it with zero notice, have an architect lined up, but be such an asshole the architect quits and you’re left with a massive pit
Time to make a new plan.

Insider trading on regime change. A perfect Trumpian twist to the long arc of US foreign policy.
“What appears to be a newly created account appeared to invest $30,000 Friday in Maduro's exit. After Maduro went into custody Saturday morning, that same investor netted $436,759.61.”
Someone made $400K by predicting Maduro's capture. Here's what happened
The winnings come as the rules governing prediction markets are still evolving.

So it's appropriate to arrest a world leader if you consider them criminal? You can just go get them? Just asking questions here.

Articles of impeachment by the end of the day. Don’t pussyfoot around this. Today is an ending, and it’s up to you whether this is the last day for Republican lawlessness or the last day for the pretense of the rule of law.

To do what, exactly? The House will be back on Tuesday. You, as in literally you as an individual member of the House all on your own, could force a privileged vote on impeachment (among a variety of other possible measures) and it would then get a vote no later than Thursday.
Speaker Johnson must call the House of Representatives back into session immediately to reign in this out-of-control President.

You don't have to listen to these professional liars who are barely trying. 9 months ago they were saying they were powerless to return a man they illegally sent to an El Salvador gulag because it would violate that country's national sovereignty
Vance pushes back and says this was not illegal, arguing "Maduro has multiple indictments in the United States for narcoterrorism. You don't get to avoid justice for drug trafficking in the United States because you live in a palace in Caracas."

Articles of impeachment don't have to be long or savvy. At all. They just have to be done. I don't care if they have to have 200000000000 different ones for every crime he's committed in the last 10 years or the last 10 minutes.

as they should
But by this reasoning, other countries could be allowed to arrest and try a sitting US president
Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

Congress must immediately act to impeach & imprison Donald Trump.

And if they fail to do so, the rest of the world should punish the USA just as heavily as was done to Russia for attacking Ukraine.

We should not get to kidnap heads of state & "run" sovereign countries like vassals.
JUST IN: Trump says the U.S. will “run” Venezuela for now, until a “proper transition” can take place

Everything Trump is saying suggests he spoke with oil companies and reached an agreement before they did this. I’m not sure how else he could say this so confidently.
Trump: "It's not going to cost us anything because of the money coming out of the ground."
