I cannot stress enough how enjoyable it is to deprive that withered old cunt of your money. Waterstones, Argos, Boots - it is so easy to get whatever you need, and it feels kinda fun, like taking a holiday in 90s Britain
Just ordered a book from my local Waterstones. Click and collect so I’ll get it on way home tonight. As cheap as Amazon. Also bought an instant camera earlier this week from Argos, cheaper than on Amazon. It’s proving very easy not to use the evil billionaire’s website. More of you should try it.

The founding trauma of McSweeneyism is Liz Kendall getting 4.5 per cent in the Labour leadership contest. From which he took that if you at any point try and explain something, or have a honest conversation, or go 'you're wrong', you lose, and that has suffused much of the government.
Notable how little UK Govt, and specifically the health secretary, have to say about this. No sense that they can shape public behaviour. Very passive.
UK has lost its official status as a country that has achieved elimination of measles, as vaccination rates have fallen below the 95% required to achieve herd immunity. So sad, and likely due vaccine misinformation. If you haven't already, get your kids vaccinated ASAP. www.bbc.com/news/article...

A similar decision was made by the English Court of Appeal in 1914, in a case brought by the brilliant Gwyneth Bebb. She'd also got first class marks in Oxford law finals, but couldn't take a degree, as a woman. She died in childbirth soon after women were admitted to the legal profession in 1919.
On this day in 1831, Myra Bradwell was born. As publisher of the Chicago Legal News, she insisted “that woman has a right to think and act as an individual.” The men on the Supreme Ct disagreed & held in Bradwell v. Illinois (1873) that states could exclude women from the legal profession. #WeTheMen
