On behalf of all self-published authors, I authorize you to reach out & tell us if you really enjoyed something we wrote.

We’re all dog-paddling in a sea of self-doubt & impostor syndrome & those little messages mean a lot.

Unless stated otherwise, our DMs/inboxes are always open for kind words 💞

Writing fantasy comedy is stating that a French braid is named after the dressing and then providing a lengthy, in-depth history of the fantasy creation of French dressing presented as little more than an aside, and then being disappointed when the reader doesn't laugh.
Writing fantasy is trying to figure out what to call a French braid when there is no France.
Writing about fantasy cephalopods is typing “She winked” and having to look up whether octopi can wink (they can)

Dad’s books are full of empathy, common sense, and a healthy suspicion of the powerful. But at its heart his work is also about how systems keep people poor while pretending it’s their own fault. So I hope Kemi’s taking notes as well as reading the jokes.

Just put up a short story on my Ko-Fi I've been working on for a while, and got to a point where I was like. Time to share this with the world. It is a short, about Mordred and Morgan Le Fae, I hope people enjoy it.

"So I asked my colleague if we should disrupt the opposition. He said sure. I said: How about at the speech? He said: that'd be uncivil, we can hold up civil signs instead. I said okay: How about at our other colleague's censure hearing, we will probably vote yes for? He said fine. True story."

Hey friends.

So, I run a speculative fiction writers group (writers of sci-fi, fantasy, horror, etc) on Discord. It's a chill space where we talk about writing, share our writing, and just generally hang out.

We are looking for new members. Feel free to comment if you are interested. 🧡🥹

"We will only take money from good billionaires," said the Democratic committee chair.
"Those exist?"
"Well, theoretically, anything exists if I believe hard enough in it and the entire party will believe what I tell them, so jot that down," he said counting the money the billionaires gave him.

In most cases, the word "genius" is a lie.

It's usually a propaganda word used by media millionaires for their violent money-addicted billionaire bosses with severe delusions of grandeur.

"We are protecting the poor people from unnecessary care," the Head of the Assurance Jesters said. He honked his fake nose and did a little dance. "Physicians can't be trusted to do the right thing; only we can provide the assurance you don't need care, you need pie." He hit himself with a rhubarb.

"COMMUNISM-- BAD!" shouted the undead abomination that they had created to rule them. It roared it in unison at the top of its lungs.
"What about fascism?" the blue head asked.
"Fascism?" the red head replied and then it tilted its mitts "that's fine."
The blue head nodded and conceded the point.

"Why weren't we talking about this," said the democratic shill, feigning ignorance. The Democrat leadership looked worriedly at the house they had built on a foundation of denied health insurance claims and the bones of the poor. "Well, at least the house isn't built out of bones like the GOP."
all i'm saying is it would've been nice to have this healthcare policy discussion *before* we gave a trifecta to the party that tried to strip coverage from tens of millions of people last time they were in power
