Chuckling at the people in the U.S. who consistently shit on people who live in "red" states... Well according to others in the world, the entire US is now a "red" state. Not so easy to overthrow authoritarians, is it?
Important perspective from Greenland.

It’s the nine year anniversary of this glorious event, and this remix is the best way to pay tribute.
This little remix cheers me up every time.

This is a great thread about working at Blockbuster, but this particular post made me laugh really hard in recognition, because anyone who picked up HENRY semi-blindly had this same experience - and I'm among them. (Brilliant piece of filmmaking; difficult watch!)
My friend and I decided to also rent every horror movie Blockbuster had in order of the shelf. It was a really fun summer until we did Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, and my friend left my house silently after the movie was over that night

Life in the world is awful, but I’m about to sit with my daughter and watch the greatest episode of TV ever made (“Ozymandias”) and geek out with her, and I couldn’t be more excited.

(She knows absolutely nothing other than its reputation and that @rianjohnson.bsky.social helmed it.)

CHOTINER: because you solved it

ME: the lament configuration, yeah

CHOTINER: so the ham was pleasure…

ME: …it came on a pretty crusty baguette…

CHOTINER: …and that was your pain

ME: you’re making it trivial

Video: Videos Contradict Trump Administration Account of ICE Shooting in Minneapolis
An analysis of footage from three camera angles shows that the motorist was driving away from — not toward — a federal officer when he opened fire.

This is an excellent piece of work that uses multiple (non-graphic, for those like me who have been avoiding the raw footage) pieces of footage to conclusively disprove the "self-defense" argument. Clear and well-laid out - this is what journalism SHOULD be doing.
Forensic analysis of objective video evidence. This is how you serve readers searching for clarity.

@alicefraser.bsky.social I just wanted to say thank you for your response in this week’s Bugle. It said perfectly so many things I’ve had in my head for years in America, & said them better. It also devastated me - did not expect to be tearing up during @thebugle.bsky.social, but I definitely was.
