Two years ago, I wrote a brief piece for @truthout.bsky.social, arguing that we should view #SCOTUS as a national defense agency that has consistently worked to enshrine and defend white nationalism since its inception—a trend likely to intensify under Trump.

The Supreme Court Won’t Save Us — It Was Founded to Defend White Supremacy
Since its inception, the court has operated to enshrine whiteness as the normative baseline in constitutional law.

Every "population crisis" article in western media is just "WHERE ARE THE WHITE BABIES" in disguise and we absolutely do not have to give any credence to any of them

BREAKING: Starbucks workers have launched a massive, nationwide strike.

Baristas in 40 cities have walked off the job on the busiest day of Starbucks' year.

Upwards of 12,000 @sbworkersunited.org members could ultimately go on strike as the union escalates.

As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

Relatable.
Nothing like a proposal for a modest amount of lower-income housing nearby to find out who your neighbors are.

Reminder:

CPD and CBP work hand in hand. People have been turned away by CPD when trying to report ICE abductions happening on private property. Whatever restrictions BJ or JBP impose, CPD has always protected power, not people.

CPD's actions tell a story of allegiance—to ICE, not to Chicagoans.

Cars are being repossessed at record rates. Pawn shops are booming. GoFundMes for groceries/rent keep rising. These aren’t isolated struggles -- they're flashing red warnings of a crisis that will push new families into instability and others into even deeper debt.

Moments after tear-gassing families and children in Little Village, ICE agents stopped by Millennium Park for a souvenir photo at the Bean. One of them shouted:

“Everyone say, ‘Little Village!’”

A "quota" of crimes against humanity.
ICE agents in Chicago violently detain a non verbal autistic man for being “non compliant”

He couldn’t “comply” because of his disability…they don’t care

This is not the first time they’ve gone after a disabled person

They target the most vulnerable because it’s an easy way to meet their quota

This is pretty much how all law enforcement operate—from CPD to ICE.
In 1893 Chicago police arrested a man for murder, starved him for four days, then gave him a bottle of whiskey. Once he was drunk they gave him an “alibi” form to sign. He was drunk and illiterate & didn’t know he was signing a confession. He was hanged. This is pretty much how Broadview operates.

A man ran to the Broadview ICE facility, distraught and searching for his wife, who was taken by ICE at the courthouse despite following the legal process. He tracked her phone to Broadview before the signal cut off. Stopped by police, told only to “look her up,” he sat weeping, terrified, and lost.

This is the most comprehensive reporting released on the DHS-alleged shooting so far. Read the entire story (reminder: reporters don't usually choose headlines).

For folks asking if it's true an ICE agent was shot: no, that is a verifiably false rumor. No injuries. A lot else remains in question.
