I enjoyed Anna and the Apocalypse for what it was trying to do: High School Musical meets Dawn of the Dead.

The real strength here is how the film gut punches you with raw emotion that comes not from the music, but from the relationships. The characters are fully formed and well acted.

3.5 ⭐

Everyone needs to listen to Gustav Holst's "The Planets", not for hoity-toity nerd reasons, but because every epic sci-fi movie OST for the past century has been directly lifting shit from this one specific collection of pieces, and you deserve to hear your favourite motif in its native environment.

Yes.
I love the convenience of streaming, but for any movie or show that I really love, I want to own a physical copy. The quality often better, and it is much less likely to disappear suddenly if a license expires or a company merges out of business. And disks often have cool extras.

"Mull of Kintyre" was at No. 1 on 5 Dec 1977. It was written by Paul McCartney & Denny Laine in tribute to the Kintyre peninsula and its headland, the Mull of Kintyre. It was Wings' biggest hit & is one of the best selling singles of all time in the UK. #PaulMcCartney #RIPDenny

Spotify has laid off thousands in recent years, while reportedly paying artists $0.003 per stream.

Spotify profits rose 28% in Q3. Its CEO is worth $9.8 billion. It's making money off ICE recruitment ads.

Don't you think it's time put a wrap on corporate greed and exploitation?

My first Stephen King 📚
This collection of stories came out in 1978 and a probably first read them a few years later at the age of 11 or 12—there’s a reason that he’s one of the most successful authors ever and it’s because he’s very good at telling dark little tales

16 Nov 1974 - John Lennon was at No.1 in the US singles chart with 'Whatever Gets You Through The Night.' Elton John played on the session and made a deal with Lennon that if the song reached No.1, Lennon would have to appear on stage live with Elton. #JohnLennon #EltonJohn
