#nzpol Don’t get me started on the Electoral Roll registration changes. This is a ham-fisted effort to disenfranchise people who have other shit going on in their lives. This smacks of risible UK Tory efforts to off-roll people without the right kind of ID.

"Federated Farmers and Beef + Lamb says yes, because methane is much shorter lived than the other main heating gases, carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide."

Yes,methane is "short lived".It breaks down.

It breaks down into CARBON DIOXIDE, WATER VAPOUR, and OZONE - all of which are greenhouse gases!

Sex work is "real" work.

Sex workers are "real" workers - and are entitled to the same freedom from abuse, harassment and exploitation as everyone else.

This is only as controversial, or weird and awkward, as we all choose to make it.

Pass it on.

Just part of the plan to strip public assets and sell them off to their puppet masters
Typical neo-liberal BS expecting public services to show an ROI, when the "R" is the service they deliver. How about asking landlords to show a better ROI since they are getting so much "investment" (foregone taxes) from this government #nzpol

Funny how, after attacking women's pay equity, with their leader's press sec just revealed to have been an utter creep taking nonconsensual pictures of sex workers and random women at the gym...

... suddenly Collins goes all in on anti-trans culture-warring in oral questions.

Distraction, much?

Why do I find this so incredibly moving?
1. Florida banned cities from lighting up bridges rainbow colors for Pride.

So the people of Jacksonville did it themselves using flashlights and gels.

They opened the drawbridge to block them.

So they marched to a different bridge.

This one's very important for EVERYONE - the RSB opens us up to an American hellscape with many unintended consequences. It's part of the Coalition agreement, and they passed the first stage through urgency.

But this Select Committee process is arguably MORE important than the TPB. SUBMIT.

What an incredibly facile understanding of our Parliamentary democracy.

All MPs can vote whichever way they like.

They *choose* to toe the party line on most instances, meaning

" ... I cannot vote other than along party lines"

is really

" ... I am only here to follow orders".
And THIS is what I replied 😈
