Neotist, community connector, Mayoress of St Neots and still Low Sheriff of Huntingdonshire. Should be ashamed of my behaviour.
In a pub in London - do you recognise it from this poorly shot photo of the ornate mirrors and decorative ceiling?

There were guys sitting there enjoying their drinks so I said I wouldn’t include them. They wanted to be included and one guy took his hat off for it. Er, I still didn’t include them.

I like to take a walk on the new estate. It’s very flat round here so they even built a little hill and put some benches there to take in the view.

The view.

For any parents / carers who might have missed this - here’s a thread of videos of TOYS you can make using scrap materials you probably have lying around your home. Perfect indoor activities for a rainy day like today
Fellow parents! Carers! Anyone looking after children over half-term! Here is a thread of videos showing TOYS you can MAKE at home from scrap stuff you probably have lying around. First, the utterly delightful "balancing bird" alomshaha.com/balancing-bi...

You cannot buy the revolution. You cannot make the revolution. You can only be the revolution. It is in your spirit, or it is nowhere.

It really shouldn’t take over four minutes to cross a whole junction!
How long should it take to cross a junction?
In suburban London it can take a while, like crossing the junction of Christchurch Road and Merantum Way to walk between two neighbouring shopping centres. Is it acceptable to let pedestrians wait this long?

Not much of a lesson from my personal experience, other than: it's okay to say no to potentially sketchy things. I've said no to a few of them; some probably harmless, some doubtless bad. Your integrity as a person isn't worth a few bucks or a few connections.

Now we know there’s been a secret society of evil rich men trying to run the world for their own agenda please can there be a secret society of extremely good people who are working to foil their plans and bring them to justice?

journalists. Solidarity on a terrible day. But also: it’s an opportunity. The @theguardian.com also fucked over its journalists last year.

Months later, 5 of us launched @thenerve.news - with zero £ - & it’s working! Rebuild your own media from the ground up 👊👊👊

worth noting that the second rich people stopped being afraid of mobs tearing them limb from limb, they stopped building libraries and opera houses and stuff and started ripping the copper wiring out of the walls of society instead
