you’re walking up to the results of Obama letting Bush and his cronies off the hook and encouraging the security state to flourish. You’re looking at Bill Clinton’s illegal bombings going unpunished. You’re looking at Hillary Clinton cheering on the murder of Gaddafi. This is on the democrats, too.

hey remember when a bunch of middle-aged drunk korean lawmakers climbed the locked gates to the national assembly to hold an emergency session after the president gave illegal orders to the military, all of which ended with said president being sentenced to prison

Im seeing discussions about consultations with congress, authorizations of force etc. I have to say this transcends any of what I would call sub constitutional technicalities. The president has gone to war with a foreign power and, it seems, kidnapped a foreign head of state on the basis of nothing.

Mamdani: I have been told that this is the occasion to reset expectations, that I should use this opportunity to encourage the people of New York to ask for little and expect even less. I will do no such thing. The only expectation I seek to reset is that of small expectations.

“On Dec. 4, four people who have been in the country lawfully for years had their oath ceremonies at Faneuil Hall canceled by Citizenship and Immigration Services officials.”

They don’t want legal immigration either.
“A group of people who were ready to be sitting in these very seats, raising their right hand to swear an oath to become citizens were turned away at the door because of their countries of origin, stemming from the hateful policies of this federal administration,” said Mayor Wu.

A bit of good news (well, for Ireland).
Ireland is the 4th freest country in the world according to the new Human Freedom Index 2025. 🇮🇪👏 Irish residents enjoy exceptionally strong freedom of movement, of religion, of relationships, and of expression. Only the Swiss, Danes and New Zealanders rank higher.

-DO NOT exploit this antisemitic attack to leverage Islamophobic and anti-Arab bigotry and xenophobia
-STOP reflexively making it about Israel because the victims were Jewish

Closing next Tuesday! Again, if you have primary school aged children or younger and you haven’t filled this in yet, it only takes 3 minutes.

(Beyond the initial news reports on the day the survey was launched, I haven’t exactly seen a publicity push around this…)
Two weeks left to fill in the survey on primary school patronage, co-ed status, and language of instruction, folks: www.gov.ie/en/departmen...

It'll feed into the planning of provision on both a local and national level, so if you're a parent of a primary school aged child or younger, do fill it in
