Y'all do know the difference between drag and trans, right? I feel like many don't.
-Drag means an outward appearance - clothes, hair, nails, makeup - doesn't follow strict gender norms.
-Trans means a person's innate sense of gender doesn't match external body features.
-Cis means not trans.

What a contrast on legacies. Robert Redford opened doors, created opportunities, & lifted up people who were very different from him. Charlie Kirk slammed doors shut, cut off access to anyone he didn't see as enough like him, & encouraged harm.

I do not want to live in a culture where we solve problems with violence. Also true: too many people with a lot of power use it to create mountains of harm for people they don't like. Charlie Kirk focused significant harm on trans people, women, brown and Black people, & non-Christians.

White folks out here thinking "at least I'm safe" - no, we're not. Whiteness changes all the time. Not long ago German, Irish, & Italian people weren't white. Indigenous people weren't white unless our daddy was white. Hispanic people may be seen as white until someone hears Spanish words.

Renewable energy has been cheaper than fossil fuels for several years now. I learned this from a public radio story recently & I don't understand why it hasn't been headline news multiple times. It's a major milestone, in normal times it would signal a sharp decline in fossil fuel market demand.

Trump continues to put America and most Americans last. He can say "America 1st" all day but it doesn't change that he puts himself and other billionaires 1st and those with the least power last - always. Trump's actual lived motto is America Last.

This is Trump moving funding from investigating actual crimes regardless of who the perpetrator & victim are (FBI, ATF, etc) to detaining people for who they are (ICE). Sure, there are mountains of biases in who gets investigated but at least the idea was to go after crime. Now identity is a crime.
With this vote, Congress makes ICE the highest-funded federal law enforcement agency in history, with more money per year at its disposal over the next four years than the budgets of the FBI, DEA, ATF, US Marshals, and Bureau of Prisons combined.

Trump has destroyed the rule of law in America. It's already gone. Voter suppression has ramped up even beyond the historic levels that got him elected. Oversight of elections, courts, & lawmaking is either dismantled or under his control. He's under the control of project 2025 + foreign bad actors.

I'm old enough to remember when Republicans & conservatives were aligned, when they wanted to uphold the constitution, were against activist judges, and voted for law and order aka the rule of law.
