It is the constitutional duty of American generals to refuse Trump's unlawful, unconstitutional orders to use "full force" on Americans. Full stop. I hope the American military does its duty to the country and refuses to follow Trump down his delusional power trip.

Every patriotic American should be anti-fascist aka Antifa. 10 years ago it would have been hard to find an American who wasn't proudly anti-fascist. My grandpa and uncles fought fascism overseas. They and their fellow troops were held up as examples of the best Americans. Trump dishonors them.

And while we're on the subject, stop flattening gender identity into gender (sexual) orientation. Trans people can be any gender orientation. Trans is not the opposite of straight, they describe different things. Gender Identity is who we are. Orientation is who we love. Expression is how we look.

Gender isn't binary in all cultures. Before widespread colonization, many cultures had 2+ genders. In some Indigenous cultures in what is now North America gender in language was based on actions, not innate characteristics. Go back far enough & what we now call dresses were common for all genders.

What's considered drag is not set in stone, it varies over cultures, time, and location. 100 years ago women wearing pants was drag. In college, ~1990, my mall job required I wear a skirt - I was sent home my 1st day because I showed up in slacks. Monks and priests wear dresses.

-Drag performers do some sort of performance with an outward appearance - clothes, hair, makeup, nails, how they move - that doesn't follow the gender norms of their current culture. The performance could be dance, play acting, book reading, etc. cabaret is what's stuck in most people's minds.

Kimmel has the opportunity to show that free speech can still exist, without following the propaganda the current administration is trying to force us all to parrot. I hope he's brave & speaks truth to power. I understand this is risky for him, risky in a way that shouldn't be possible here.
