It’s astonishing to me when I see Native people defending what this administration is doing. They would not hesitate for one moment, to deliver this cruelty to you, too. In fact, our peoples are ones that should be the most familiar with this history, since it’s been that way since first contact.

A reminder from Huffington Post that DHS and ICE have opened fire on unarmed civilians 16 times since Trump took office, killing 4 people. In every case, DHS claims that the victims "assaulted officers" and/or tried to ram them with cars. In every case, evidence proves they are lying. Every time.

The Hidatsa and Nu’Eta (Mandan) people of the upper Missouri fell to biological warfare (smallpox) in apocalyptic numbers about 5-6 generations ago for my family; upwards of 90% of the population for the Nu’Eta.
And yet here I am. Talking to you. My Nu’Eta and Hidatsa blood flowing in my veins.

Yknow I’d like to say that the U.S. isn’t supposed to go around invading countries (and it’s not), but I’m a citizen of a Native Nation of THIS land, and this country is BORN of invasion. This is standard practice for this country, yall.
