good old JEDI engine, later for the sith engine we'd get JED, which was kind of a weird Sector-based HAMMER Editor and was not their in-house tool (which they never released) but got years of support and was used for every jedi knight addon map
LucasArts had so many internal tools, but to make levels their FPS games "Dark Forces" and "Outlaws" they just used the good old AutoCAD. Here are shots of "Outlaws" maps being worked on in AutoCAD R13 for Windows:

I'm hesitant to call it a game engine because like... the renderer and low level systems (Source 2) isn't freely available? it sounds interesting and looks cool but I also don't really get it

I remember when sharing WIPs used to motivate me to finish, but since abandoning, then deleting my twitter, that serotonine machine ran out.
