For the grift to work, you need two things.
1 - promote a magical fix for all your problems
2 - never have an example of this magic working
Then people need to hire you, or buy your product to get the magic.
If AI magically made games in a month, we would see game dev talks on it...

This experience has reinforced to me that at times hostility aimed at the humanities comes from people needing to believe investing in them is a waste of time, energy, and effort. They need to affirm that their sacrifices for today’s notions of practicality are right.

My mother voted for Trump because she had been convinced (at church she claims) that doctors were conducting "post-birth abortions," and that Trump was the only person who would act to stop them.
