Neither one seems like an expressly bad choice. Both scripts are slightly different. It's neat to see two options, though, and I'm already eager to watch this movie yet again with the newer dub.

This comparison video convinced me of the new Shin Godzilla dub's quality. Funimation's was perfectly good for the time. But GKIDS' dub sounds slightly more natural for live action, on top of having better mixing, making it sound like it was really recorded in the same space as the on-screen actors.
