Kristi Noem has said all American should be expected to show ID if need be. We have moved so far the right, we are "papers please" mode. Of course, many Americans have always lived in that mode. But now it's official.

Preorders help small presses and authors tremendously but that’s not why they’re important on a soul level. Preorders matter because they’re acts of faith. You trust the order will come through, the book will be good, which means something in this low-trust society we’re trapped in.

Here’s me reading from my book.

I don’t know how to market a book, but maybe this is it.

It absolutely skeeves me that F. deBoer has any clout in the literary community. But then again, if I'm honest, I don't understand the literary community.

Library peeps, this is a really cool project going on!
I am still open to exchanging Valentines. Librarians, writers, anarchists, dino nugget aficionados. Dm me.
It makes sense. I was that kid in school who got the least amount of cards. Me and a friend even used to exchange anti-valentines.

But I love going all out and giving out self-affirmations and cards. On some level, this is my revenge.

this book is SO good, and the cover is perfect
So excited to share a cover reveal for Terrestrial, out May 2026! I've admired Angelo's book covers for other Malarkey books and I'm thrilled it was my turn to need one. I love what he designed for it.
So happy to share the cover for @suzyeynon.bsky.social’s forthcoming novella, Terrestrial (May 2026, preorders open now and copies will be signed by the author). As ever, @angeelio.bsky.social gave us something special.

As you know, some years I exchange Valentines.
As depressing as I am, I very very pro-love.

Chey sent hers early. She included stickers for the kids.

You know I wrote her love poem in high school? I still have it somewhere. It might even be in this document of my juvenilia I have open in Word.

Sharing blurbs for Terrestrial! I'm so grateful to these authors for taking the time to read my book and provide generous blurbs.

I made these with magazines like the collages I made in the 90s. Photos from Arizona Highways. Full text: suzyeynon.com/2026/01/16/b...

There are so many reasons to oppose AI, but did you know it's raising your electric bill?
AI Data Centers Are Sending Power Bills Soaring
Wholesale electricity costs as much as 267% more than it did five years ago in areas near data centers. That’s being passed on to customers.

I wrote a piece this morning for a call that closed a couple days ago. The story is about someone who is mentally incapable of being on time.

Someone told me when I was younger that key to being successful is to wear a lot of hats, and I thought he said have a lot of cats, which was apparently not even remotely the key to success.

No fashion. Just dating myself with a shirt I made. Their album "Requiem" is old enough to drink. "Cold Blue Serenity" still gives me chills.

Blackout motherfucking grind.
