A lot of us do, or did when we where in the game. Our media models, mostly in young adult dramas, almost always had a "well listen dumbass' episode to set the point. These days, it's all "Real Housewives Survivor: Jersey Shore"

A massive problem in technology fields is people making things that nobody asked for and not understanding why it is rejected. We should strive to fix a problem, not create a solution.
Lots of them are panicking that AI uptake isn't fast enough and they might run out of momentum to do the sweep they are attempting to do on society.
This isn't about AI, it's about the window in which they have permission to remould society.
