Thanks to every Bike Sock that rolled with us or showed up at the racks this year. That’s it for lakefront rides. We’ve got one more family ride and tailgate this Sunday, hope to see you there!

Yesterday, Jan 7, was Divvy’s busiest day since Nov 25, 2025 with 12K trips systemwide! I helped log 4 of those trips. When bikeshare is affordable, reliable, and well-placed, people ride. Even in “winter” 🚲

I need some positivity. Quote or reply with your favorite bike memory of 2025. It can be a great ride, an advocacy accomplishment, whatever. Let's celebrate bikes.

My personal favorite was finally doing a bikepacking ride up to Portland, Maine! It has me excited for bigger adventures in 2026.

I took some dope photos of people and their bikes for @chiwho.bike, and clocked at least 1,000 miles all around around the city doing it

Did my first @chicagobikesox.com ride - coinciding with my birthday!
Hit 2000 and 3000 miles on my e bike
Founded a local safe streets group for my suburb that avoided draconian policies towards ebikes.

Shout out to winter Divvy riders who’ve been braving extreme cold across Chicago:

12/13 (low 4°F): 3,242 rides
12/14 (low -1°F): 2,333 rides

On my ride in this morning, it was 10°F but felt like -5°F and people were still out riding. Protected bike lanes on Grand Ave made it possible and safe!

We don’t leave the streets up to the adjacent property owner to shovel — we plow them.

Send an email to your leaders and let them know it’s time we #PlowTheSidewalks too!

If you live or travel through Brighton Park on Archer, please let alderwoman Julia Ramirez know that this safety improvement is appreciated. Urge her to stick to her guns. The opposition is small but very loud.

CBS just produced an extremely one-sided report on the Archer Complete streets project, repeatedly calling the project "reducing Archer Avenue from 4 lanes to 2" for bike lanes, when it's really a 4 -> 3 conversion to make the street safer for all users. What are your thoughts on this segment?
