The disparity btwn what’s actually happening in Los Angeles and the way it’s being mischaracterized is one of the biggest stress tests of modern media in recent memory. Botted socials, AI, old clips, declining literacy—it’s like seeing a broken emergency response system hit by a storm.

I don’t know how many times we have to say this, but the U.S. government is not a business and shouldn’t be run like one. It’s a service—for the people.

You shouldn’t need a GoFundMe to survive cancer. You shouldn’t work 40+ hours and still be poor. You shouldn’t die waiting for healthcare in the richest country on Earth. This ain’t radical. It’s righteous.

It’s time to fight for what we deserve: single-payer healthcare.

The people who say “poor people shouldn’t have kids” should ask themselves why they aren’t saying “people shouldn’t live in poverty”

We can have better and it will take all of us fighting *for* better to get there.

How do science interpreters, such as animators and museum designers, translate complex scientific research into something visually tangible—like a 40-foot dinosaur skeleton or a 3D animation of cellular machinery too small to be seen?

America is in its “bread & circuses” phase except there isn’t any free bread, just tax cuts for the rich and the circus is gleefully watching undocumented people get deported.

It’s sad that this is where we are, but we need to have a new conversation w/our college kids when they’re home this summer—because free speech is under threat.

There should be zero tolerance for violence, threats, or blocking students from classes. But free speech needs to be protected…

The Earth doesn’t “go around the Sun” the Earth goes in a straight line through an area of spacetime that bends around the Sun and I think that’s neat.

1) USPS did not lose $3.3b. It provided a service that cost $3.3b. *The Pentagon* loses you money, however, every time it accidentally yeets a fighter jet off the deck of a carrier
NEW: The U.S. Postal Service posted a net loss of $3.3 billion in this fiscal year’s second quarter mainly due to “significant challenges out of our control,” including workers’ compensation costs, Luke Grossmann, USPS chief financial officer, said at the open session of the governing board meeting

Disabled people can be a valuable resource to prepare for what’s coming.

We’re used to fighting for survival. We excel at emergency preparedness and contingency planning. We know what it’s like to try and survive an oppressive system that sees you as “better off dead”.

We were built to resist.
