Quite the blow to meritocracy myths when half the billionaires in the country are in the Epstein files emailing shit like “hey best friend, what should I wear to the crimes party?”

In Sept. of 2023, I witnessed what was in my eyes the perfect storm. This intricately-structured, highly-electric supercell danced under a sky full of stars, looming over the landscape like the Mind Flayer while producing multiple funnels, bursts of sprites, and a barrage of lightning. #Photography

As more reporting emerges about the Dilley uprising led by children, I think reporters must clarify what family detention is. These are jails where children and their parents are detained together, and there is a long history of protests at these facilities because of horrendous conditions inside.

Anyway if you're out and about in North Oakland today consider picking up food from Tacos Oscar on 40th. They can't afford to close today but are donating all their drink sales today to CALMA, a local day laborer outreach org, and also can always use your support

We used to make fun of people for pretending to be experts after reading one well-written article about a topic. Now I long to return to that arcadian idyll, that golden age of people actually reading one article before pretending to be an expert.
