Local blackouts have been removed for 90% of MLB entering Opening Day. With 14 clubs introducing new direct-to-consumer streaming options during this offseason, 27 of the 30 clubs now have a way for fans to watch their games through a DTC option, effectively removing local blackouts for those clubs.

I feel like this is a good time to admit that my slow pitch softball plate discipline is *terrible*
Going through the underlying stats from the 2023 season that I referenced when making my 2024 rankings and one thing the following four early round busts had in common (Jrod, MH2, Lou Bob, Bichette) is they all had chase rates (o-swing%) north of 40%. League average was about 32%

Average positional WAR is a bad yardstick because it encourages voters to only consider players who are better than half of their HoF peers
give us 25th, 50th, and 75th percentile WAR
