JD Vance calls ibuprofen "useless medication" and implies it's not "necessary, safe and effective."

jennifer tilted her head back, tapping a finger on her chin, “if i learned anything from my own major medical event, its that no one in their right mind would interact with the medical system unless they needed to. so anyone willing to dive headfirst into it in order to transition must need to.”

This would explain *a lot*

Mum clearly thinks social media transed her kid, and if she wasn't trans she wouldnt have been murdered in cold blood, so social media is to blame.

So does this mean content discussing authoritarianism is not allowed on Bluesky, and accounts can be banned for that?

Because that’s what it sounds like.
False attribution. If a person is suspended it is because of their identity? Could it not be because of their content? I wrote about it here aaron.leaflet.pub/3m52nqqmk322v

Is there some other implication here than "The phone turned my child trans?"

Do you understand why that might enrage a population that has been under constant assault in this country for years?

Duffield has been involved with anti-phone campaigns for a while because they have been pushed by the right wing think tanks she's affiliated with *because of her transphobia*. I would please ask you think why these people are pushing so hard on this issue right now.

Very convenient to be able to shove the transphobia that got this girl killed under the carpet and blame phones instead and be able to deny any criticism like that

Maybe Esther doesn’t think its insulting, but its rubbing salt in the wound to the whole trans community

It is deeply insulting to Brianna Ghey's memory to pretend that a campaign backed by the likes of Rosie Duffield is doing anything to help children like her.

We've seen her reaction to a trans person discussing their suicidal ideation.
When Rosie Duffield is in on it I think we can safely say the anti-phone campaign in Brianna's name is actively at odds with tackling transphobia

By reading the news and watching the BBC, by listening to the Prime Minister and his cabinet...

Social media helps children like Brianna find community and somewhere they can be themselves. One of her classmates killed her.

This does not help children, it isolates them from support.

Finished the article and it gets worse (if that was possible).

"This person only transitioned AFTER they went to [presumably WOKE] university..."

Gosh, wonder why they had to wait until leaving what sounds like a wonderfully supportive home to be their true selves... *sigh*

Read half the article and then had to stop as I wanted to smash things.

The young person in question has been out with their gender identity since they were 15. Their top surgery was when they were 24.

Yet every step of the way their TERF mother was "shocked and surprised." Not supportive at all.

Plus the usual crap like implying that doctors don't know what they're doing and that a physical fix can't be the solution to "psychological distress"

The alternative, of course which they're hinting at but too cowardly to name, is psychological treatment, AKA conversion "therapy" AKA Torture.

Not a single word, of course, from the _adults_ whose bodies are being discussed in such a disgusting manner.

I'm not surprised that at least one of the them has gone no contact. These parents have failed at the most basic level of parenting. They can't even tolerate their kids, let alone love them

And of course the Mail neglects to mention that nearly 100% of those who transition are happy with their decision.

They literally want trans people to be unhappy, many to the point of suicide.

"Healthy breasts" [Mail]

One of the 'girls' mentioned here is 24. Another is 22. Another is 21.

The mother of the 24yo is 'livid' and discusses where they would have 'discarded' these breasts. Doesn't seem to care her child is happy.

They're all referred to as 'daughters' and 'her'.

It is very hard to dismiss the fact that senate democrats caving was an intentional gift to Donald Trump. He went to the Supreme Court trying to starve 42 million Americans and we all saw it. And as people fought that, they caved. They are not merely collaborators but wolves in sheep’s clothing.
anyway if dems think I'm gonna forget this shit in 5 months, they're wrong. if they think I'm gonna forget it in 5 years, they're wrong. they have fully convinced me that purging the party of these inept losers in the senate is more important than retaking the senate in the next election cycle

If you’re as pissed as we are, join this campaign to rebuild the Democratic Party. 👇
Democratic leaders have failed us again. It's time to get new leaders.
After yet another capitulation by Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats, it's clear we need new leadership capable of mounting a serious opposition to Trump's authoritarian regime. We're launching our la...

I genuinely think that trans people need to fight a bigger fight about research ethics governing our treatment. "Trans rights are human rights" is vague.

No research without consent is specific.
It's right that trans people should be able to refuse to be subjects in research being conducted with an aim of reducing their options in life, reducing their comfort and wellbeing.
