There might be a spot available in one of the Keep or Kut Listener keeper leagues. 5x5 H2H, 28 man rosters + up to 5 prospects. Keep 9. Just hit our keeper deadline and one manager is MIA so you'd be jumping in just in time to pick your keepers and start the draft next week. DM me if interested.

A quick example of data and information changing my thinking on players this week. My initial reaction to Bregman to CHC was to hate it for him. Pull side power in a park that's really deep down the lines 😬 plus Wrigley depresses 2B and 1B. Felt like a bad fit. Paredes comp was inevitable...

Is the only requirement to be an ICE agent to just be insanely soft? Like do they just sit down in the interview and the interviewer says one slightly unkind thing, and if they flip over the table and try to assault the interviewer, they get the job?

Is the only requirement to be an ICE agent to just be insanely soft? Like do they just sit down in the interview and the interviewer says one slightly unkind thing, and if they flip over the table and try to assault the interviewer, they get the job?
No one told me 20 years ago that live music in my 40s would be taking my daughter to a Taylor Swift tribute band and then having to register her for a summer camp from the bar because the registration opened 12 hours early and it might sell out if I don't act immediately. Parenthood is weird.

There are reports that Brenton Doyle is available via trade and I think he'd be a good fit for the guardians. Maybe Paul Depodesta can do a solid to all the browns/guardians and send Cleveland the CF we need?

@joeclowery.bsky.social I think your "best case" group on today's show isn't possible, right? There has to be at least one UEFA team in every group I think.

I know it'll never happen, but MLS needs to:
a) expand to 40 teams
b) have pro/rel across 2 tiers of 20 teams each (MLS Premier and MLS Championship)
c) have balanced schedules in both divisions
d) call the shield winners the champs
e) still have MLS Cup but don't call the winners the champs

Yes. I'd long been a "Shield is the best team" guy but the past three years have really forced me to rethink that.
If Philly'd played Vancouver or Miami's schedules, do they win the Shield? No chance.

Last year they had the worst luck (schedule, fixture congestion, injury, XG differential, etc), and this year that pretty much flipped.
Do you think the unbalanced MLS schedule coupled with the unbalanced cup schedule is making the Shield...not less meaningful but maybe differently meaningful?

He'll be 34 just after Opening Day. His offense looked washed in '23 and '24. He just had a surgery that's really negatively impacted pitchers (is there much history for hitters?). I can't imagine he has much trade value, right?

Gotham deserved that win. Played incredibly well against a great team. Bouncing back after that LATE equalizer was just super impressive

I have been in favor of a 3 for a win, 1 for a draw, 1 more for the shootout win structure instead of the straight 2/3 but I think saying there's a solution implies something is broken and I think MLS as an entity is thrilled with this result today.
I’ve been saying this ever since the format was announced, but there are two possible solutions to this that I genuinely don’t understand why they’ve not been used: First to four (no PKs until Game 3) or First to five (no PKs in Game 3 unless teams split PKs in first two).

I have been in favor of a 3 for a win, 1 for a draw, 1 more for the shootout win structure instead of the straight 2/3 but I think saying there's a solution implies something is broken and I think MLS as an entity is thrilled with this result today.
I'm not defending CEO pay, but Walmart has 2.1MM employees. If we took every cent of that $27MM from the CEO and gave it back to employees, they'd all get $13. CEO pay isn't the primary issue. Should they get paid less? Sure! But that's not "the problem"

So nice to see a player from a prior era embracing the modern game instead of complaining. And I'm not just saying that because this Cleveland fan LOVED Joe Carter a few decades ago. His WS winning HR is still the closest I've come to celebrating my team winning a title.
